Breakthrough has partnered with Uber India to launch a campaign on bystander intervention: #IgnoreNoMore. The campaign calls for people to not look away or walk away from violence against women in public, but instead to actively intervene and in the process, help build safer spaces for women.
The campaign was launched on March 8, International Womens’ Day and was covered widely by the mainstream media including publications like Outlook India, Economic Times, Aaj Tak and others. The campaign launched with a video which. from the point of view of people who have intervened, talked about the importance of not ignoring violence and included a link to a website where people can take a pledge to be a responsible bystander.
