An integral component of Breakthrough’s work with adolescents (11-18 years) towards achieving our goal of making violence against women unacceptable is our school based programme – ‘Taaron Ki Toli’ or Legion of Stars. The programme engages with adolescents through a curriculum which enables them to recognise and understand gender discrimination in their lives, adopt gender equitable attitudes and also equips them with life skills like negotiation skills, interpersonal skills etc which would help them translate these attitudes into behaviour.
